CLING

CLING

"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good."
Romans 12:9

You already know how to test what is good.

It’s the One that will hold you even if you lose your grip.

That’s rock solid.

How to Cling to What is Good

Connect (Be Yoked)

Get connected to the Author of the book on good – God. You’ll be so relieved and surprised at the same time. You will find He can relate to all your struggles and be the strength you need to overcome them.

Matthew 11:29 - "Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls."

Commit to Trusting God (Abide)

How do you know if you’re doing it right? Just do what God says. That is staying in the center of His will for you which is only good. Deviate, and you’re in “unplanned” territory where anything and everything can go wrong. That is for professional clingers only.

1 John 2:24 - "Let what you heard from the beginning be abiding in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father."

Consider (Think on)

Spend time thinking about the good things you learn and then practice them. Half the work is mental. Things like being honest, true, and just sound easy on paper. In real life, with real people and situations, it takes practice. With persistence, it will begin to come naturally.

Philippians 4:8 - "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think on these things."
